Sealopatch™

General Purpose Repair Mortar

Sealopatch™ is an easy to use, Portland cement based single component thixotropic patching and repair mortar. It is supplied as a gray powder and is simply mixed with water to form a trowelable mortar.

Uses

Sealopatch™ is a multipurpose cementitious repair and reprofiling compound for the following uses:
- Patching spalling and flaking concrete areas
- Create crickets and cants on decks to facilitate good drainage
- Filling compound to level off surface irregularities
- Filling low spots on roof surfaces to create good drainage.

Advantages

Sealopatch™ displays the following advantages:
- Easy to mix and apply
- Adjustable consistency
- Good volumetric stability
- Excellent workability
- Adheres to almost any roof or building substrate
- Smooth thixotropic formulation
- High mechanical and abrasion resistance
- Coefficient of expansion similar to concrete
- Non toxic.

Mixing

Add approx. 1 gal. clean water to a 5 gal. pail. Slowly add the entire contents of the Sealopatch™ 50 lb. bag to the pail while simultaneously mixing with a mechanical mixer (do not hand stir) until a smooth, even consistency is achieved. Add small amounts of additional water to adjust to desired consistency.
Note: During hot weather pot life can be extended by adding ice to mixing water.  Store product in cool, shaded, dry area prior to use.

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, sound and free from oil, grease, cement laitance and all loosely adhering particles. Metal surfaces (iron and steel) should be free from scale, rust, oil and grease.  Absorbent surfaces should be saturated thoroughly with clean water. However, ensure that there is no standing water on surface at the time of application of Sealopatch™.

Application

While the substrate is still damp, trowel the repair mortar vigorously into the surface.  Where adhesion is of particular concern, apply a bond coat of Cemflex ™ liquid directly before the application of the Sealopatch™ repair mortar.  Max. thickness per layer 1 1/4”.  A good finish can be achieved after application with a clean steel trowel or a damp sponge.

Cleaning

Clean all tools and equipment in water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
