Heavy Bodied, Flexible, Waterproof Filling and Joint Compound
Buttergrade™ is a trowellable waterborne paste with good adhesion characteristics. It dries to form a flexible and waterproof filler which may be sandpapered to produce a smooth surface for fine work.
Uses
Buttergrade™ is used:
• To smooth and fill knot holes and seams between, plywood boards on decks
• To feather off ridges left by the application of Sealoflex fabric
• As a flexible spackling paste for interior and exterior use
• Joint compound for sheetrock
Advantages
Buttergrade™ displays the following advantages:

• Excellent adhesion to wood, metal, stucco, painted surfaces, concrete, brick and other surfaces.
Surface Preparation
Remove all oil and grease, grit and loose particles from the substrate. Prime where necessary. Refer to Sealoflex Priming Chart.
Application
Apply Buttergrade™ with a trowel or putty knife to smooth out voids or imperfections. If depth of void is greater than 1/8” apply in two or more layers allowing previous layer to dry before covering with a fresh application. If required, cured Buttergrade™ may be sanded to achieve a smooth finish. Overcoat with a Sealoflex product as soon as the Buttergrade™ is dry. With solvent based coatings, it is recommended to allow at least 24 hours drying time in dry conditions.
Curing
Drying time will be 1/2-2 hours depending on weather conditions.
Cleaning
Clean all equipment and tools immediately with water. Dried Buttergrade™ can be removed with Sealoflex Quickclean™ water-soluble solvent.
Important Notes
NOTE: Sand when dry, but within 24 hours of application.
